Cultural Access Program

Cool Culture is building a movement
Our programs reach over 50,000 families across NYC’s 5 boroughs, and we collaborate with over 1,000 educators, parent coordinators, and administrators from over 450+ early childhood centers and Title I schools.

Each year, we help 50,000 families access free arts and cultural activities across NYC.

Do you know that 50% of New Yorkers find NYC's cultural costs high?

Our mission is to amplify the voices of families and to strengthen the power of historically marginalized communities through art and culture, both within cultural institutions and beyond.

Your donation helps us to:

Cool Culture is building a movement.

Join us in championing cultural equity! You are partnering with us, our network of cultural institutions, artists, cultural workers, educators and everyday New Yorkers to ensure families can experience free cultural activities, celebrate cultural heritage, develop leadership skills, and advocate to build stronger communities. Together, we can drive change and ensure everyone has access to the cultural resources needed for our holistic wellbeing.

to the goal where we can thrive regardless of income

creating profound connections, and fostering community wellbeing.

"My family and I are grateful to be part of the Cool Culture family. Since 2012, Cool Culture has provided us, a young couple with limited means, the opportunity to explore incredible places like the Manhattan Children's Museum and Central Park Zoo with both of our sons, creating lasting memories. This program makes it possible for low-income families like ours to experience NYC’s cultural treasures, and we are truly thankful!."
Cool Culture Parent
"Cool Culture is a critically important program because it actively targets a specific audience that is underserved by many of our cultural institutions. Their programs create real experiences that meet families where they are, celebrate their communities and culture, and diversify the audiences in cultural institutions in this city and the country."
Thelma Golden, Director and Chief Curator, The Studio Museum in Harlem
